Though the first game at Indore is with the red-ball cricket, it seems like Virat Kohli-led side is concentrating more on the Pink Ball Test, which will be the first-ever International game in Indian conditions. Regarding the same, the Indian team members has asked for a special pink ball net session at Indore in the evening times.

The Indian team is set to play its maiden Day-Night Test against Bangladesh at the historic Eden Gardens from November 22 to 26 and that has seen the team management request the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) to organise for training under lights for Virat Kohli and boys.

The first Test against Bangladesh is scheduled to be played Holkar Stadium before their date with floodlights at the iconic Eden Gardens. However, it has now been revealed that India cricket team will practice under lights in Indore itself to prepare themselves for their newest test.

Virat Kohli and Co will be practising from 5 -6 PM –

Speaking to IANS, former MPCA secretary Milind Kanmadikar confirmed the same and said that the association is more than happy to help the players adapt to the pink ball in Indore.

“The Indian Team will be practising with the pink ball under lights from 5 pm to 6 pm today (Tuesday) against a black sight-screen,” MPCA head curator Samandar Singh Chouhan told Hindustan Times. “We have got this request and have made the preparations accordingly.”

Perhaps, the gap of only 3 days between the first Test at Indore and the Day/Night Test in Kolkata has prompted the teams to keep special practice sessions with the pink ball before the first Test.

The early practice sessions will give Indians a fair idea of what they will encounter in the historic Test and is precisely the reason, all the senior players did not figure in the Mushtaq Ali Trophy matches for their respective states.
