The people of India have once again shown faith on Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party who won the Lok Sabha Election by a landslide margin. Soon after their victory, Indian National Cricket Team Virat Kohli sent his congratulatory message amidst his busy schedule in London ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019.

Kohli wishes BJP on their win

Riding on a massive saffron surge sweeping through most parts of India, the BJP-led NDA government returned to power for another five years. They are the first non-Congress party to win two consecutive Lok Sabha Elections. After Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Manmohan Singh, Narendra Modi is fourth prime minister of India who has been able to retain power for a second term with full majority in Lok Sabha.

The alliance has crossed the majority mark of 272 and finished with 349 seats out of the total 542 Lok Sabha seats. They have also made significant progress in West Bengal becoming the second best party after Trinamool Congress. They have almost won 50 percent of the vote share in this election.

Since the Election Commission announced the results, wishes and congratulatory messages flooded their social media handles. Virat Kohli, who is currently in England to play the ICC World Cup 2019, took time out to wish Narendra Modi and his party. The India skipper also hoped that the country will reach greater heights under BJP.

“Congratulations @narendramodi ji. We believe India is going to reach greater heights with your vision. Jai hind,” Virat Kohli said.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli-led Indian team landed in London on May 22 and hit the training session yesterday. They will open their campaign on June 5 against South Africa at Southampton.
