Virat Kohli's consistency with the bat impresses Sourav Ganguly

Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly hailed Virat Kohli for his impressive leadership skills. He believes the tour to England and Australia respectively will reveal how Kohli’s has developed as a captain over the years.
“The next two series in Australia and England will define him as a captain,” Ganguly told India Today.
The 29-year-old Kohli is marching to break a slew of records. He has been delivering with the bat owing to the regular basis in the national fold.

Ganguly asserts Kohli is capable of doing exceedingly well. However, in the overseas conditions against South Africa, the Delhi-based batsman smashed staggering 558 runs in ODI series to set an example for the youngsters.

Leading from the front, Kohli instilled confidence among the teammates after creating history in South Africa since 1992.
The batting mainstay led India to a 5-1 scoreline against the hosts Proteas in the six-match ODI series.

In the recently culminated 50-over format, Kohli smashed three centuries, as two tons came in last three fixtures.
Kohli is simultaneously marching towards the elite list in a bid to make most runs in a bilateral series. The list is dominated by Sir Vivian Richards, who smashed 1,045 runs on Windies En gland tour in 1976.

Kohli has now two Twenty20 International matches to make it something magnanimous in the cricketing world. He has amassed 870 runs so far in the ongoing series in the Rainbow Nation.
“Look at the hundreds he got against South Africa,” Ganguly added.
Ganguly cited, Team India must fly as early as possible in order to get used to the away conditions. He added the practice games will further set the tone for the quality side to face top-notch sides in their own yard.
“For the two series against England and Australia, Kohli and the team needs to go early. Play a couple of side games before getting into the series,” Ganguly further added.
Interestingly, Ganguly has witnessed Mahinder Singh Dhoni leading India, but he believes Kohli topping the charts when it comes to the remarkable consistency with the bat.
“I have also seen MS Dhoni captain (India),” Ganguly said.

The 45-year-old Bengal-born Sourav Ganguly, who had a massive experience on his back, has often praised Kohli for his remarkable run.
Kohli has already smashed 35 ODI tons in 200 ODI innings. He is averaging over 52 across formats.
