Former South Africa cricketer, Jonty Rhodes feels current Indian skipper Virat Kohli is a different captain from that of MS Dhoni. Meanwhile, MSD remains to be India’s most successful captain across formats. His trophy cabinet includes the T20 and 50-over ODI World Cups along with a Champions Trophy and two Asia Cup titles. However, Dhoni is still playing as an essential role in the Indian side after retiring from Test cricket in 2014. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli stepped up and took over the captaincy and is leading his team brilliantly.
MS Dhoni is the most successful captain and had won all the major ICC trophies.
MS Dhoni can keep calm on the field. Irrespective of any situation, he never used to lose his temper. On the other hand, Virat Kohli believes in showing some aggression on the ground to put pressure on the opposition.

“Virat is quite different from MS Dhoni, he was captain cool, and Virat is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve. He likes to lead by example from the front,” Jonty Rhodes told Times Now on his recent visit to India.

Moreover, Jonty Rhodes also talks about the importance of fitness in recent days. Jonty also reckons it is difficult to feature into the present Indian cricket team after Virat Kohli sets the standard level. He also applauds Virat Kohli and pours wishes to the Men in Blue to perform well for the upcoming tour to Australia.

“If you are not fit, you may not get selected for India one day because Virat sets very high standards of fitness for everyone to see and as far as the England series is concerned they’ll come back.. they almost won in South Africa and with Australia coming up its going to one of the most challenging tours for India,” Jonty Rhodes said.
Recently, Virat Kohli was given rest from the Asia Cup 2018, as he was playing continuous cricket. However, he will lead the side for the ODI series against the Windies commencing from October 21 (Sunday).
