Former West Indies legend Sir Viv Richards, on Friday, took to Twitter to praise Indian skipper Virat Kohli after he stamped his authority with yet another sublime knock. On Friday, an imperious Kohli switched gears in no time and single-handedly turned the game in India???s favour against West Indies with career-best innings of 94 off 50 balls. The skipper???s stunning knock helped India pull-off their highest successful chase in the T20I format.
After Kohli???s knock, fans as well as cricketers took to social media platforms to hail the right-handed batsman. West Indies great Sir Viv Richards was also one of them. The former West Indies skipper was absolutely delighted watching the India skipper bat like a champion. Viv Richards took to Twitter to laud Kohli for his match-winning performance in Hyderabad.

As it happened:
Initially, the game started with Virat Kohli winning the toss. He opted to bowl first, assuming dew to affect later part of the game. Batting first, West Indies posted a score of 207/5 in stipulated 20 overs with Shimron Hetmyer playing an entertaining knock of 56 runs off 41 deliveries. Evin Lewis was also back amongst the run-scorers for West Indies.
He scored a brilliant 40 off just 17 balls that included four sixes and three fours. The cameo by Kieron Pollard in the middle overs and the perfect finish by Jason Holder helped West Indies cross the 200-run mark. Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers for India with a couple of wickets.
