Virat Kohli Wins an Oscar for Best 'Non-Acting by a Main Lead'

The India skipper, Virat Kohli continued his winning band, and now he had won an award for his incredible acting in a fake movie. Moreover, the final trailer came a day later than it was initially promised. It had borrowed heavily from action movie tropes, but the ending makes it clear that this a marketing stunt for his clothing brand. However, that didn’t stop Virat Kohli from joking about preparing his Oscar acceptance speech.

Virat Kohli had previously teased starring in a movie.

“Another debut after 10 years, can’t wait!” he tweeted on September 20.

“This is unbelievable, best award for best non-acting by a main lead for trailer the movie. I would like to thank wrogn production for never making the movie and to my audience for not watching the movie, this was a fake movie so a fake award,” said Virat Kohli in a message shared on Twitter.

Previously, Virat Kohli had an incredible tour to England where he had scored 593 runs from five Test matches. In addition to that, in-form Kohli scored his 24th international Test century in the first Test match against the Windies Rajkot.

However, the 29-year-old is one of the finest batsmen in world cricket. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is all set to become just the fifth Indian batsman and 13th overall to score 10,000 runs in the One Day Internationals.

Furthermore, Virat Kohli needs only 187 runs to overtake Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of 1573 runs in 39 ODIs at an average of 52.73 against the Windies. The Indian captain has played 27 ODIs against the Windies and has scored 1387 runs at an average of 60.30. It includes four centuries and nine half-centuries.

The Men in Blue had already won the two-match Test series against the Windies. Virat Kohli and Co. will play five-match ODI against the Windies commencing from October 21 (Sunday).
