Wasim Akram, Multan Sultan’s team director spill beans on Multan Sultan’s strategy following their consecutive victories. Meanwhile, debutant Multan Sultans surprised everybody when they beat title holders Peshawar Zalmi in the opening game.
In the opening fixture, Multan defeated the Zalmi’s by seven wickets while in the second game they beat Lahore Qalanders by 43 runs.

Akram reveals the strategy:
Former Pakistan captain, Akram explained the reason behind taking the strategic timeout just after the 11th over. Further, Akram added that it’s a long tournament and they need to keep continuing playing good cricket.
“We wanted to slow down the momentum. Immediately after the strategic timeout luckily for us, Umar Akmal got out. Junaid Khan had his hattrick, Muhammad Irfan’s timely spell,” Akram said. “Everything is shaping well. But it is a long tournament, it is too early to say what will happen next,” Akram added.

Credit goes to players:
Meanwhile, Akram credited the entire team for the early success. Also, he added that there is no secret to Multan’s success.
“The way the captain led the troops, the way the team responded, and the way Toom Mody is handling the boys. All credit to them,” Akram said.
In conclusion, Akram believes many talents will emerge from the Pakistan Super League.
