Former India cricketer, Aakash Chopra tried to copy the helicopter shot, the signature shot of MS Dhoni, in the practice nets but didn’t succeed. However, many have tried to copy it across the world, but no one could make perfection as Dhoni did it on the field.

Meanwhile, in the first two attempts, Aakash Chopra used his perfect body balance and timing to connect the ball from the middle of the bat. It looked more like a flick shot rather than a helicopter one. However, on the third time, he ended up edging the ball behind the stumps. Though he tried his hands at such a tough cricketing shot, it showed only MS Dhoni could play it with utter perfection.

Moreover, during the video, Aakash Chopra admitted the different shot was not his cup of tea. The veteran MS Dhoni can only play it.

In addition to, no one can blame Aakash Chopra, as he had failed to perform it. He used to play the shots which comes under the category of proper cricketing strokes. Earlier the 41-year-old also reacted on when the news came that MS Dhoni will not be a part of T20I series against the Windies, he felt Dhoni’s T20 career might come to an end.

Furthermore, Chopra was a legend in the domestic cricket. He represented India in the longest format of the game in 10 Tests. He was not a T20 specialist but had represented Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Indian Premier League (IPL). Also, Aakash Chopra played two seasons of the rich-cash tournament and had scored 53 runs in seven matches. His average was a poor as 8.83 and with a disappointing strike rate of 74.64.

Recently, Steven Smith also pulled off a helicopter shot, the signature shot of MS Dhoni in a local T20 match in Australia.
