That Virat Kohli is truly a global icon is not a secret anymore. Gone are those days when cricket stars were not too much popular outside the cricketing fraternity as Kohli is fast becoming one of the biggest sporting icons on the planet. Recently, Tottenham Hotspur and England football superstar Harry Kane visited Lord’s to catch-up with Kohli.

Both Kane and Kohli talked to each other and also posed for cameras. Later, Kane himself took to Twitter to post a picture of the meeting.  And now Chelsea football club’s Brazilian superstar David Luiz has shown that just how popular is Kohli. The Chelsea defender wished Team India and Kohli best of luck for the upcoming World Cup.

London-based journalist of Pakistani roots, Frank Khalid took to Twitter to post a video where Luiz could be seen calling Kohli ‘bro’ as he wished him and his team luck for the tournament. The journalist himself wrote that he asked Luiz about his favourites for the World Cup and the latter picked up with India and Kohli’s names.

“As you all know I love both football & cricket. I asked @DavidLuiz_4 who he was backing for the @cricketworldcup & his reply was @BCCI & captain @imVkohli . He had a special message for the captain. ?? #ViratKohli,” wrote the journalist.

India, meanwhile, are one of the favourites for the World Cup.  With a balanced team of bowlers, batsmen, and all-rounders, the Indian team has gone to England with a very formidable squad. The Men in Blue, however, have received a timely wake-up call after suffering a six-wicket defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the warm-up clash.
