South Africa’s captain Faf du Plessis was seen laughing at George Bailey’s bizarre batting stance. Bailey had adopted this absurd batting position in 2016 in which he is almost facing towards the wicketkeeper. The right-hander’s peculiar batting stance was once again on display in the warm-up match against South Africa.

South Africa will play three ODIs and one T20I against Australia. Thus, George Bailey is currently leading Prime Minister’s XI in the practice match against the Proteas. In fact, George Bailey had said he wanted to remain on the side of the ball and hence adopted this strange batting stance.

Bailey unveils his peculiar stance again.

We have seen batsmen with abnormal batting style. Windies talisman batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul had a unique style as both of his feet used to face towards the straight boundary rather than the point position.

However, George Bailey feet are going towards the third man and he is almost batting with his back towards the bowler. Bailey had earlier said that the front foot gets in his way and he was having issues with the LBW dismissal. Thus, he decided to change his stance.

Furthermore, England’s wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow had also changed his batting stance. Consequently, the right-hander has enjoyed great success after altering his batting style.

Meanwhile, the previous series between South Africa and Australia was full of controversies. Firstly, David Warner and Quinton de Kock were involved in an ugly battle. Subsequently, the series was marred with ball-tampering scandal. Thus, it would be a first time since that series when Australia and South Africa will meet again.

The first ODI will take place at Perth on November 4.
