Shikhar Dhawan might not be having a good time on the field in the ongoing England vs India series. However, it looks like the Gabbar of the Indian team is in high spirits and is not at all bogged down by his recent performances and criticism.

Poor form of Dhawan along with his opening partners KL Rahul and Murali Vijay have been a cause of concern for India during the ongoing series. None of the three openers have managed to give India a solid base so far. In fact, Dhawan was also dropped for the second Test after failing in the first.

And although he returned to the side for the third, fourth and the ongoing fifth Test, he is yet to score big. So far, the southpaw has scored 158 runs from three matches. But the way he was enjoying himself on the field on day one of the fifth Test, it seems all these poor returns from the bat has not demotivated him. Dhawan looked high on spirits as he shook his legs while the fans were cheering him from the stands.

Here is a clip showing Dhawan’s dance:

Earlier this week, Dhawan had come up with a brilliant response after some fans trolled him on social media.

He had faced the criticism after posting a photo on Instagram, where he was seen having fun outside the team hotel along with Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant. However, the fans were not happy that the players were in such a good mood despite losing the series. As a result, they did not take long to slam Dhawan.

However, Dhawan then came up with a brilliant reply to make it clear why the players need to move on quickly even after a heavy defeat.

“People who have been writing negative stuff. We are also hurt the day you guys are. It is important to learn from our mistakes and move forward. We give our best for the nation everytime we walk on the ground and most important thing is as a team we should be in a good mindset before the next game.

“We cannot change the past. So we do our hardwork at the ground as always and keep our process strong. After practice it is important to laugh and be happy so we create positivity in the team. That’s what champions do. Easy to be happy when winning. Warriors stay positive when things are down too. Thanks to the fans who are still supporting us,” Dhawan wrote.

Meanwhile, coming to the fifth Test, England finished the day on 198 for 7.
