That the players, especially Kagiso Rabada, would find it tough to keep their emotions in control was very much clear after the way the first Test in Durban ended. South Africa and Australia are known for their animated rivalry, and it went up a notch higher in the first Test.

CCTV footage had caught David Warner giving Quinton de Kock an earful in the player’s tunnel when the players were headed towards their respective dressing room at the tea break on day 4. The incident had caused quite a stir in the cricketing fraternity as Warner faced the heat from several quarters.

Well, the ongoing second Test is also looking set to give rise to quite a few controversies. On the very first day of the game, Kagiso Rabada set the tone by giving Australia skipper Steve Smith an animated send-off. The incident occurred in the 52nd over when Rabada’s delivery rapped Smith on the pads, and the umpire raised his finger.

Smith had reviewed the decision, but it did not save him. In the meanwhile, a pumped up Rabada did not hesitate in expressing his emotions. He first celebrated the wicket wildly before doing something controversial which might land him in hot waters.

The Proteas pacer moved towards Smith after dismissing him. And in doing so, he had his shoulder bumped into that of Smith’s. The Australia skipper was quick to mention it to the umpire before walking off the field.

Here is a clip of that incident:
