Indian batting all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, was seen sweating it out in the gym in order to regain his fitness. He is out of favor with the selection panel mostly because of his inability to contribute with the ball.

Hardik has been trying to play as a pure batsman. However, the critics and fans alike do not think that the Baroda all-rounder warrants a place in the side as a genuine batsman. He has always been in the team as a finisher who can contribute with the ball.

However, constant injuries meant that he could not bowl regularly, thereby slowly losing his place in the team to Venkatesh Iyer. In order to regain the lost faith, Hardik has begun training in the gym once again. He posted a video on his Instagram page with the caption: “Renewed, rejuvenated, reloading“.

Hardik underwent a major surgery back in 2019 which derailed his career. His batting form has dipped tremendously, apart from the T20I series in Australia last year. And the fact that he cannot even deliver a few overs for his captain only worsened his case.

Keeping his long-term fitness in mind, Mumbai Indians also didn’t retain the explosive all-rounder. He will enter the IPL 2022 mega auction pool where he is likely to get a big contract anyway, due to his high potential.

Reports have also emerged which indicate that Hardik wants to retire from the longest format in order to solely focus on white-ball matches. Although he isn’t near the Test team at the moment, a fit Hardik Pandya can win matches more often than not.
