Watch: Ishan Kishan Pulls Off A MS Dhoni In Vijay Hazare Trophy
Ishan Kishan nearly pulled-off a MS Dhoni during the Vijay Hazare Trophy game between Jharkhand and Maharashtra.
With his scarcely-believable exploits, MS Dhoni has become the inspiration for several upcoming youngsters who are harbouring the dream of playing for India. Coming from a region which hardly produced cricketers earlier, Dhoni excelled through a home-made batting and wicketkeeping technique. He is the most decorated wicketkeeper in the history of Indian cricket and definitely one of the best the world has ever seen. 616 catches in addition to affecting 184 stumping so far is a big proof of Dhoni’s success behind the stumps.
Not surprisingly, he is an inspiration to many including his state teammate Ishan Kishan. Time and again the youngster has been seen seeking advise from his illustrious senior. And it looks Kishan has take a leaf out of Dhoni’s wicketkeeping book.
During the Vijay Hazare Trophy quarterfinal clash against Maharashtra, Kishan tried to pull off a Dhoniesque attempt but failed to pull off the run out.
It one of Dhoni’s signature technique where he does sort of a no-look throw towards the wicket to inflict a run-out. Kishan did the same in the 28th over of the innings. And while he was spot on with his throw, the batsman had reached his crease well in time to avoid the dismissal.

Coming to the game, Jharkhand beat Maharashtra by eight wickets via the VJD method to seal their place in the semifinals. They will take on in-form Delhi in the second semi-final on October 18.
Riding on Anukul Roy’s 4 for 32, Jharkhand bowled out Maharashtra for 181 in 42.2 overs. In reply, Jharkhand chased down the revised target inside 33 overs.
