Khaleel Ahmed bowled an excellent delivery to dismiss Mohammad Nabi who was looking dangerous to put up a huge score. However, it was Kuldeep Yadav who avoided a collision with Dinesh Karthik to take a brilliant catch.

However, earlier in the day, skipper, Asghar Afghan won the toss and opted to bat first. Afghanistan didn’t make many changes, while, India made as many as five changes to their playing XI.

Moreover, Afghanistan opener, Mohammad Shahzad and Javed Ahmadi started their innings brilliantly. The partnered 65 runs for the first wicket. Meanwhile, good delivery from Ravindra Jadeja and a superb reflex from MS Dhoni behind the stumps cost the wicket of Ahmidi.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Shahzad played a brilliant knock of 124 runs smashing eleven boundaries and seven massive sixes. However, later, the veteran Mohammad Nabi played a fantastic knock of 64 runs with four sixes and three boundaries. Khaleel Ahmed did the rest for India and Nabi has to walkway towards the pavilion.

However, Kuldeep Yadav took a sensible catch. It was a collision between Kuldeep and Karthik, but the former managed to hold on to the grab. However, there was no communication between the fielders, and this could have been a nasty collision; fortunately, it wasn’t.

Nabi was trying to chop the length delivery over the infield but miscued it straight to cover where the spinner managed to take it.

The batting line-up dominated India’s bowling attack. However, the bowling unit has done some splendid job in the middle to rattle the batting format. Jadeja bowled brilliantly picking up three wickets, and Kuldeep bowled a superb spell of full quota giving 38 runs and bagged two wickets.

Mohammad Nabi played some brilliant cricketing shots at the end to post a score of 252 runs at the end of 50 overs losing their eight wickets.
