Time and again, the players as well as the team-management has made it clear that MS Dhoni’s role in the team is not only limited to batting and wicketkeeping. The former India skipper has been lauded by his teammates and the backroom staff for mentoring the youngsters and Dhoni ‘the mentor’ was once again seen in full flow when 18-year old Washington Sundar came on to bowl in the ongoing second One-Day International against Sri Lanka.

The right-arm spinner, who made his debut in the game, would have surely liked some guidance from his teammates in his first international game and he did not have to look far for the same as Dhoni continuously guided him from behind the stumps. From advising him to bowl from which side to where to land the ball, Dhoni could be heard throwing advises after advises to the Tamil Nadu spinner who shared the dressing room with the World Cup-winning skipper in this year’s Indian Premier League.
