Watch: MS Dhoni & Yuzvendra Chahal's Master Plan To Dismiss Lasith Malinga
Known for his out of the box thinking, Mahendra Singh Dhoni‘s street-smartness was once again in full display during the ongoing first One-Day International against Sri Lanka in Dambulla as the former India captain along with leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal masterminded a brilliant plan to dismiss Lasith Malinga.
With 8 wickets already down and just 209 runs on the board in the 42nd over, Malinga tried to play a big shot off the bowling of Chahal and while doing so he danced down the track to execute his plans. However, Chahal had well anticipated the batsman’s move and fired a wide delivery which Malinga completely missed. In the meantime, Dhoni was waiting patiently for the ball behind the stumps and made no mistake in dislodging the bails.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka were restricted to just 216 after being given a good start by their top three batsmen. At 139 for 1 in the 25th over, the islanders were looking set to post a good total but another middle-collapse dashed their hopes. Niroshan Dickwella top-scored with 64 while Axar Patel starred with the ball. taking 3 for 34 in his quota of 10 overs/
