The veteran wicket-keeper batsman of Gujarat Parthiv Patel keeps on coming with surprises to the Indian crowd. Usually, he delivers those stunning knocks with his willow at the opening slot. Now, he comes up with a brilliant reflex catch behind the stumps to make his name to the headlines.

It was during the second semifinal of the tournament when Tamil Nadu locked horns with Gujarat. Chasing a tally of 178 on the board, Baba Aparajith was expected to hold the key for Tamil Nadu. However, the brilliance from Parthiv behind the stumps saw Baba Aparajith walk back for 6 runs.

Tamil Nadu through to finals:

It was in Axar Patel’s over when Aparajith tried to defend on the front foot, however, Axar Patel was smart enough in making the ball spin and get the edge of the batsman. The thick edge missed the gloves of Parthiv but the ball hit on his thigh lobbed up, which was safely pouched with a dive to his right side.
