Ravichandran Ashwin’s knack of coming up with variations in order to do well in T20s, is fast getting out of hands. At first, he just tried his hands at bowling different variations just like others do. However, he is now coming up with different actions to get the work done on the field. In the first game of the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League, the Dindigul Dragons skipper came up with a bizarre piece of bowling action.

And while many thought it was just a one-off, he left everyone mighty amused with even more bizarre piece of action against Madurai Panthers on Monday. Just like the last game, Ashwin tried it in the very final over of the innings. But unlike the last time when the result was a wide, he managed to pick up a wicket this time.

On the second last-ball of the match, Ashwin made Kiran Akash  his victim. The India off-spinner had the ball right behind his back, completely hiding it from the batsman. With the batsman completely unaware of what was going to happen, Ashwin released it like a balloon. It was as slow as one can think of and the batsman fell in the trap. He tried to clear the long-on boundary but could not and was caught

Here is a clip of that delivery from Ravichandran Ashwin:

Talking about the game, Dindigul Dragons continued their winning start to the tournament by beating Madurai Panthers by 30 runs. Batting first, the Dragons piled up 182 for 6 with openers N Jagadeesan and Hari Prasanth scoring fifties. In reply, the Panthers finished on 152 for 9. M Silambarasan starred with the ball, picking up 4 for 20 while Ashwin took 3 wickets.
