Watch: Rishabh Pant's Bizarre Mistake Hands Reprieve To Liton Das

Not much is going right for Rishabh Pant at the moment. The youngster has been facing criticism from all around. Not only the fans but experts as well as several former cricketers have also criticised the highly-rated youngster. Recently, the likes of Adam Gilchrist and Dean Jones had come up with suggestions for the young cricketer to improve his game.
But Rishabh Pant, on Thursday, committed another horrific blunder that is bound to invite even more criticism for him. The wicketkeeper made a bizarre mistake that cost India a much-needed wicket in the ongoing second T20I against Bangladesh in Rajkot. Bangladesh were off to a great start after being asked to bat.
By the time the fifth over ended, they had raced away to 41. Three balls later, India finally had their first breakthrough or at least that is what everyone thought when Rishabh Pant took the bails off when Liton Das missed a delivery from Yuzvendra Chahal. Das had charged down for the slog and got beaten totally by the turn on the leg break.

It was an easy stumping and Pant did take off the bails comfortably. But India’s delight soon turned into despair when replays confirmed that it was no ball and the reason was a stupid mistake from Pant. The youngster had gathered the ball slightly in front of the stumps which resulted into a no ball. The third umpire reversed the decision, leaving Chahal and everyone surprised.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh are leading the series after stunning the hosts in the first match in Delhi. The Tigers had defeated India by seven wickets to register their first-ever win over the Men in Blue in the shortest format of the game. India now need to win the ongoing game to keep the series alive.
