Rohit Sharma usually does not lose his cool on the cricket field. Unlike Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma does not look quite animated or aggressive on the cricket field. However, it seems the captaincy got the better of him as he was seen having an animated discussion with the umpire after the latter called a dead-ball in the ongoing game between India and Bangladesh in the Asia Cup.

The incident occurred in the tenth over of the innings. Ravindra Jadeja’s second ball of the over was a no ball due to overstepping. Consequently, the following ball was going to be a free-hit. It was all going well before Shakib Al Hasan hit the resulting delivery which was a full toss straight to the fielder to mid-off and the umpire called it a dead ball. Not surprisingly, Rohit was not impressed with the decision and rushed to the umpire to question his decision.

His teammates also surrounded the umpires as confusion prevailed. But eventually the umpire’s decision stood as Jadeja had to bowl the delivery again. Shakib then added further salt to India’s miseries by hitting the resulting delivery for a four. However, India and Jadeja had the last laugh as two balls later he dismissed the Bangladesh allrounder.

Here is a clip of that incident:
