Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan will have a big role to play in the ongoing World Cup. The India openers have been the batting mainstay of the team for more than 6 years now. The two first opened the innings together in 2013 Champions Trophy and have not looked back since then. Rohit and Dhawan will go down in history as two of the greatest ODI openers.

Their record in ICC tournaments is even more better. In the very first tournament as openers, they led India to glory in the 2013 Champions Trophy. Two years later, India made it to the semifinal of the World Cup before making it to the final of the Champions Trophy in 2017. Unsurprisingly, all eyes will be on two when India start their campaign against South Africa on June 5.

The two recently appeared on popular web talk-show Breakfast with Champions (BwC) and had a candid interview with Gaurav Kapur. The two opened up about their personal lives, careers and also revealed some funny anecdotes.

The most interesting part of the interview came when Rohit hilariously revealed his India teammate Ajinkya Rahane’s reply to a sledge in Australia. Rohit revealed how Rahane had hilariously stuck his tongue out while hitting back at opposition players.

“Once he was being sledged by Australians. When Ajju (Rahane) had enough, he just stuck his tongue out to the bowler leaving the opposition confused as to what he was doing,” said Rohit.

Rohit further revealed another incident involving his Mumbai teammate Dhawal Kulkarni. Rohit said that the incident took place when Matthew Wade was edging Kulkarni’s deliveries behind the stumps during a practice game.

“Once we were playing a practice match against Australia and Matthew Wade was batting. Dhawal was bowling at him and was disappointed that a lot of edges from Wade’s bat were flying off to the boundary. Frustrated with the edges, Kulkarni started sledging Wade.
