Suryakumar Yadav, on Tuesday, came up with a stunning response with the bat after being hit hard on his head by a bouncer from Jofra Archer during the clash between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals.
The incident took place in the 19th over of Mumbai Indians’ innings. On the very first ball of the over, Archer nearly hit Hardik Pandya on his head with a very dangerous beamer. The India star somehow managed to duck in time as the wicketkeeper failed to stop the ball too and it went for a four.

Archer soon raised his hands in apology. And three balls later, he hit Suryakumar Yadav with a bouncer. The ball was aimed at Suryakumar Yadav and the batsman tried to get in line to hit it but was beaten by the pace. The ball went on to hit him on the head.
Suryakumar Yadav straightaway removed his helmet and started rubbing his head before receiving medical attention from the physio. Fortunately, he managed to continue batting and came up with a stunning reply on the very next ball.
The right-handed batsman came up with an outrageous shot to hit Archer for a maximum. Archer bowled a full delivery just short of yorker length around the off stump before Suryakumar Yadav crouched down and scooped it over the wicketkeeper for a six.

Suryakumar Yadav, meanwhile, went on to play an unbeaten knock of 79 to help his side put up 193 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs. His knock came off 47 deliveries and was studded with 11 fours and two sixes.
