Unlike the footballers, cricketers are not known for celebrations. A five, hug or just a roar are the usual celebrations seen on the field from the cricketers. However, Tabraiz Shamsi is a big exception. The left-arm spinner is known for his weird celebrations on the field. Whether it is the bus driver celebration or using his shoe as a phone, the South Africa spinner always makes sure to come up with something weird every time he takes a wicket.
And he came up with yet another unexpected although interesting celebration during the fifteenth match of the ongoing Mzansi Super League (MSL) in Cape Town while playing for Paarl Rocks. The incident took place in the 11th over. On the fourth ball of the over, Cape Town Blitz batsman Asif Ali failed in his attempt to hit the spinner out of the park.
He hit a full toss from Tabraiz Shamsi towards the long-on region where Paarl Rocks captain Faf du Plessis made no mistake in catching the ball. And as soon as du Plessis caught the ball, Shamsi was up to his old tricks. He took off his shoe to pretend it as a phone before adding a new twist to it. With his wife seated in the stands, he blew her a flying kiss.
Shamsi’s wife was perhaps taken aback by her husband’s celebration at first before she reciprocated by blowing a kiss to the spinner.
Here is a clip of that incident:

Talking about the game, Paarl Rocks won the game by three runs. After scoring 164, they restricted Cape Town Blitz to 161 for 9. Sri Lanka pacer Isuru Udana had the responsibility of defending 11 runs in the final over and he did it brilliantly.
