Stumping one batsman in an over is perhaps too mainstream for MS Dhoni as he pulled off two stunning similar kind of stumping in a space of three balls against Delhi Capitals. The Chennai Super Kings skipper sent back Chris Morris and his Delhi counterpart inside an over to put the Super Kings well on top. Asked to bat first, Super Kings recovered from a slow start to post 179 for 4. Suresh Raina led the foundation by scoring 59 before MS Dhoni provided the finishing touches by slamming 44 from just 22.

The bowlers then put the Super Kings firmly on top. Deepak Chahar struck in the very first over to send back Prithvi Shaw. Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer then added 48 runs for the second wicket before the former departed and the floodgates opened. Delhi kept losing wickets and soon found themselves 6 down for just 83. But with Iyer still set and Chris Morris new at the crease, Delhi were still in the game.

Dhoni then handed the ball to Ravindra Jadeja to bowl the 12th over and it completely changed the course of the game. Morris who was yet to face a ball was stumped on the third delivery when he raised his back foot for a fraction of a second. Two balls later, Iyer faced the same fate when he missed a turning delivery and Dhoni took the bails off in a flash.

Meanwhile, Super Kings will finish in the top two if they win this game. Both the Super Kings and Delhi Capitals have already sealed their playoff spot and a win in this game would seal a spot in the top two. Finishing in the top two gives the teams two chances of making it to the final.
