Meanwhile, Kohli recently led India to an impressive 2-1 victory over New Zealand in the three-match One-Day International series. The skipper led the team from the front, scoring two sublime centuries to finish the series as the highest run-scorer. During the series, the right-handed batsman also broke several records.

The first record that he shattered in the very first match was that of Ricky Ponting’s tally of 30 ODI tons.  Kohli went past the legendary Australian with a sublime innings in Mumbai to become the second leading centurion in the 50-over format. He went on to add one more to his tally in the third game when he scored 113.
