One just cannot keep Virat Kohli away from the action for long. It just doesn’t matter whether he has his mighty willow in his hands or not, the India skipper rarely fails to make a difference whenever he is on the field. And he proved it once again on Friday during the second day of the ongoing first Test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval.

The 32-year old took an absolute blinder to send back Cameron Green and put India firmly on top of the proceedings in the game. Green was the fifth Australian wicket to fall with the scoreboard reading only 79. The allrounder, who was making his Test debut, departed for 11 off 24 balls.

On the third ball of the 40th over bowled by Ravichandran Ashwin, Green pulled a short delivery quite well. He had made good contact with the ball and it looked like the ball would reach the boundary. However, Virat Kohli, who was standing at mid-wicket, had other ideas.

The India superstar took a screamer to send back the allrounder. Virat Kohli made a full length dive to his right to grab the catch with both hands. It was an absolute beauty and Virat Kohli’s reaction made it very clear. The India skipper raised both his arms and also doffed his hat in delight as the spectators clapped.

Here is a clip of the stunner from Virat Kohli:

Talking about the game, Australia were on 84 for 5 at the time of compiling this report. Earlier in the day, India resumed their innings on 233 for 6 and could add only 11 runs to their overnight score.
