Watch: Yuvraj Singh's Incredible Reverse-sweep For A Six

It would not be entirely wrong to say that Yuvraj Singh’s international career is very much off the track now. The World Cup-winner made a fairy-tale return to the Indian side during the One-day International series against England in 2017. He went on to play his career-best knock of 150 during that series. The 50-over competition was his first ODI series in four years.
However, things only went downhill for him from thereon. He had a poor 2017 Champions Trophy in England and Wales where he aggregated 105 runs in four innings. Eventually, it was followed by yet another dismal outing against Windies. He also failed the mandatory Yo-Yo test thrice which made the national selectors ignore the experienced campaigner. Since the tour of Caribbean, Yuvraj has not been recalled again.

But on Sunday, the World Cup-winning star showed he still can blow any team away on his day. The southpaw showed glimpses of his vintage self scoring a quickfire 17 runs off just 6 balls in a match played between Air India and the Maldives Cricket Team. The match was a part of the India-Maldives Friendship Cricket Series 2019. The short but impressive knock was studded with a boundary and a couple of sixes.
And the highlight of the knock was definitely the six which came off an incredible reverse sweep in the 9th over of the Air India innings. He had changed his stance to play the shot even before the bowler had delivered the ball. And even though the bowler tried to adjust the line and length of the delivery, Yuvraj comfortably dispatched it over the third man boundary with ease. The Punjab star also impressed with the ball, picking up a wicket.

Yuvraj, meanwhile, will be soon seen in action for Mumbai Indians in the forthcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.
