Indian skipper Virat Kohli has responded to the call of boycotting Pakistan in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019. Kohli has confirmed that they will stick to whatever the Indian government and the Board of Control for Cricket in India will decide. The Indian government is yet to take the final call for the upcoming India-Pakistan encounter.
Meanwhile, BCCI is mulling to boycott Pakistan in the quadrennial event after 42 CRPF soldiers lost their lives on 14th February. A suicide bomber which was carrying almost 300 kg of explosives crashed into the convoy.

The match is under dark clouds.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli paid the condolences to the families of the CRPF soldiers who lost their lives, on the behalf of the team management. Kohli confirmed that the team will follow the mutual decision of the Indian government and BCCI.
“Our sincere condolences to the families of CRPF soldiers who lost their lives in Pulwama attack. We stand by what the nation wants to do and what the BCCI decides to do. We will go by what the government and the Board decides, we will respect that,” Kohli said at the presser.

Meanwhile, India’s head coach Ravi Shastri had also spoken on the same lines. In fact, most of the former players have given their point of view on the same subject. On the other hand, BCCI and ICC have organized a meeting in Dubai on 2nd March which will further clarify the matter.

“It’s entirely left to the BCCI and the government. They know exactly what is happening and they will take a call. We will go by what they decide. If the government says it’s that sensitive you do not need to play the World Cup, I will go by my government,” Ravi Shastri was quoted as saying by Times Now.
The recent attacks have put the India-Pakistan encounter under dark clouds. The big match between the two arch-rivals is set to take place at Manchester on June 16. However, if India decides to forfeit the match against Pakistan, they will lose their two points.
