West Indies Legends Squad For Road Safety World Series 2020

The West Indies Legends squad was announced on Sunday (16 February) for the upcoming Road Safety World Series 2020. The much-anticipated tournament will begin from March 7, when the Windies Legends team, led by one of the greatest batsmen of all time, Brian Lara will clash with Sachin Tendulkar led India Legends at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

In this series, which is being held for a noble cause of promoting road safety, a total of eleven matches will be played in the T20 format.

Legends from the bygone generation will take part in the Road Safety World Series 2020, and they will be divided into five teams namely – Sri Lanka Legends, Australia Legends and South Africa Legends, apart from India and the West Indies.

The opening match will be held in Wankhede Stadium, which will host one more game during this tournament.

The MCA Stadium Pune will host four matches along with the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, which will also host four fixtures.

Lastly, the final will be played on 22 March, at the Brabourne Stadium.

Talking about the West Indies Legends team, apart from the skipper Lara, it will also feature the likes of Samuel Badree, Suleiman Benn, Yohan Blake and Shivnarine Chanderpaul as well.

Furthermore, Pedro Collins, Ricardo Powell will also be a part of the West Indies side. Ridley Jacobs will be the man behind the stumps.
