After an action-packed a couple of weeks, the day finally arrived which witnessed the finals of the Nidahas Trophy 2018. It was Bangladesh, who against all odds, managed to reach the finals of the tri-nation tournament to face their arch-rivals India.

The toss went Rohit Sharma’s way as he decided to chase on a pitch looking like a batsmen’s paradise. Bangladesh started off playing fearless cricket and lost three crucial wickets up front without adding many.

Yet again it was spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar, who put the Tigers into the backfoot. With an economy of the 5.7 throughout the series, and eight wickets in his tally.

I really enjoyed bowling over here. I have always wanted to read the batsmen’s mind – most of the times it worked out. Wanted to be there when the final run was scored,” commented Washington Sundar while receiving the man of the series award.
