Yuvraj Singh Heaps Praises On Dinesh Karthik

India could have easily lost a golden opportunity to win the Nidahas Trophy and seemed to be on the cusp of losing to minnows, Bangladesh, but Dinesh Karthik ensured a win for India by hitting a six on the final ball of the game.

Yuvraj Singh was impressed with Karthik as he tweeted –

Karthik came at a time when India needed someone to come and hit right from the first ball.

Karthik smashed 14 runs on the first three balls he faced and scored 22 runs in the first six deliveries.

Despite his heroics, India seemed to be in a difficult situation in the final over.

Vijay Shankar scored five runs off four balls that he faced and left the job on the penultimate delivery when he got dismissed.

It was all on Karthik to hit a boundary.

A four would have resulted in Super Over but Karthik had other plans.

He ensured that India get past the total and hit a match-winning six to help India post a victory.

With this win, India also ensured that they finish off their home season with a win.

India will kick off the next home season with a Test match against Afghanistan in the month of June.

Prior to that, all the Indian players will also participate in IPL.
