It has been a long time since watching Umesh Yadav in action for the Indian National Cricket Team in the limited-overs format of the game. He last played for India in 2018 when they played against the West Indies in Visakhapatnam. Speaking of his return, Umesh Yadav hopes for a comeback to the team in limited-overs cricket.
After leaking runs at eight per over against West Indies, the selection panel went with Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah for the ICC World Cup 2019.
Later, Navdeep Saini got the nod alongside Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur, which completely blocked his way back.

I am seriously looking forward to this: Umesh Yadav

“I am desperate to play white-ball cricket,” Umesh told Timesofindia.com in an exclusive interview.
“Who wants to sit outside the ground? I am also human. I am working really hard and am very eager to play white-ball cricket again. I got the chance in the 2015 World Cup and I was happy to perform well for my country. Was disappointed when I was not included in the 2019 World Cup. Be it T20Is or ODIs, I eagerly want to make a comeback,” Umesh said.
“I am seriously looking forward to this. I am thankful to the selectors who gave me the opportunity to play for the country. They are the best judge. I am trying my best to make a comeback to white-ball Cricket. For this, whatever I have to do, I will,” Umesh added.
Umesh was the chief contributor for India in ICC World Cup 2015 with 18 wickets in eight games.
However, he played only 27 ODI matches after the tournament to pick 39 wickets to his name. He also delivered goods for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Indian Premier League (RCB) but failed to attract the selection panel.
