After registering a comprehensive victory in the first Twenty20 game, Windies suffered a stinging last-over loss against Bangladesh in the 2nd T20I at Lauderhill in Florida. Southpaw Iqbal, on the other hand, steadied the ship of Bangladesh. Initially, he relinquished the support of Soumya Sarkar and then Shakib.
Furthermore, Iqbal along with Shakib put a crucial partnership of 90 runs for the fourth wicket that powered Bangladesh to achieve a formidable total of 171.
Iqbal was the top scorer from Bangladesh with quickfire 74 off 44 deliveries, as Shakib, on the other hand, scored a quickfire knock of 60 off 38.
How did Windies respond back during the 2nd T20?
While chasing, Windies lost explosive opener Evin Lewis on the score of just five. Rusty Andrew Russell once again got chance to feature at number three position. He scored 17 off 10 balls before returning to the pavilion.
Nazmul Islam was the star performer for Bangladesh as he ended up his four overs quota with three for 28. Mustafizur Rahman got three wickets as well whereas Shakib bagged two.
From Windies, Andre Fletcher scored a handy knock of 43 off 38 balls. Rovman Powell scored 43 as well that included three boundaries and two gigantic sixes.
