Team India ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is known to be quite vocal if he feels that something wrong is going on and it was yet again on display when he posted a very strong message from his twitter handle. It is unclear whether the message was based on a certain incident but it clearly shows that he won’t tolerate any hatred based on religion and caste.

Taking to his twitter handle Ashwin wrote, “Public figures will endure hatred on social media, and there will be ppl who won’t like me and criticise me, but one thing I won’t tolerate anymore is hatred based on religion and caste. That’s also called racism and I take a stand to take such ppl to task. Thanks”

Ashwin bowled pretty well during the Test series against South Africa but wasn’t picked for the final Test at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. He has been a champion bowler for India especially in the longest format of the game and along with Jadeja, the spin duo dominated the Indian home season in 2017 and bagged a bagful of wickets which elevated them to the top of the bowlers chart in Tests.

However, the duo hasn’t been able to replicate their form in overseas conditions and have also lost their place in the limited overs side to a couple of exceptional young wrist spinners namely Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. Ashwin who was a part of the Chennai Super Kings squad for the first 8 years of IPL will now play for a different franchise Kings XI Punjab.

It was his exceptional performances in the IPL during his initial years which earned him a national call-up and for the first time, he will be not playing with Dhoni in the IPL. He has been a champion bowler for India over these years but with the emergence of some exceptional wrist spinners the competition has got stronger and for Ashwin to make a comeback especially in the limited overs format it will surely require some sloppy performances from Chahal and Kuldeep who have been quite consistent in their brief careers so far.
