World XI Squad Announced To Face Asia XI In The T20I Series

Soon after the announcement of Asia XI squad for the T20I series, the team for Word XI have also been named. Asia XI comprises of players from all the major cricket playing nations from Asia except Pakistan, while the World XI squad contains athletes from all the remaining countries. Veterans like Faf Du Plessis, Chris Gayle, and Ross Taylor will take the field in Dhaka to take on the Asia XI team in March.

Apart from these stars from South Africa, West Indies, and New Zealand, in total, four from West Indies, one from Australia, three from England, two from New Zealand, and two from South Africa will participate. From the Islands of the Caribbean, Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, Chris Gayle, and Sheldon Cottrell would take part.

Alex Hales, Adil Rashid, and Jonny Bairstow are the Englishmen to participate while Lungi Ngidi and Faf Du Plessis would turn up from South Africa. New Zealand will send Ross Taylor and left-arm quick Mitchell McClenaghan while from Andrew Tye is the sole participant from Australia. Faf Du Plessis would lead the World XI against the Asia XI while former Australian cricketer Tom Moody would serve as their coach.

The two games will take place on the 18th and 21st of March at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. The squad for the Asia XI was announced shortly before with the likes of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Lasith Malinga, and Mushfiqur Rahim among the many getting the nod for the same.
