Former Pakistan captain and middle-order batsman Younis Khan has made a shocking revelation about the sum of the money Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) owe to him.  Younis has revealed that PCB owes him a whopping Rs. 4-6 crores. This statement has come at a crucial time, looking at Pakistan’s state in international cricket. The Pakistan National Cricket Team is going through a transition at the moment and such claims further add to the misery of the sub-continent nation.

However, Younis has made it clear that he does not seek any sort of remuneration being paid as of now. Instead, he insists that he can work along with the board in improving the state of the sport in the nation.

Younis has been a long servant of the Pakistan team and has smashed various records for the sub-continent side. He retired from all forms of international cricket in the year 2017.

Younis Khan Makes A Shocking Revelation About The PCB:

The veteran cricketer has revealed it isn’t a small sum for sure. Thus, it is very kind of the former cricketer to not have asked for it since so long while terming that money has never been ‘an issue’ for him.

“In terms of money, PCB owes me Rs 4-6 crore if you look back. But I have never demanded money, money is never an issue,” Khan was quoted as saying by Pak Passion.net.

“Its destiny from Allah, you get what is destined for you so you should never run after money, I never ran after money. I have always been willing to work with PCB. I was one of the few players who retired and left, players rarely do that. I have 17-18 years of services for Pakistan and PCB,” he added.

Younis further went on to say that he wants to work with the board for the development of cricket in Pakistan. He mentioned that they are not on the same page as of now but things can open up if discussed further.

“What happens that we can’t come on board together, I don’t even know. I played cricket so I want to help in the field of cricket. Why we don’t come on board, perhaps PCB doesn’t change or Younis Khan doesn’t change. I don’t think anyone in Pakistan would be so personal that he wouldn’t want to work with Younis Khan. Even if I was a big critic of Younis Khan, I would like to still work with Younis Khan. What things are there with my demeanour or what is it with PCB that doesn’t allow us to come on one page,” the 45-year old said.

Younis has been a national hero for Pakistan. It was under his captaincy that Pakistan won its maiden ICC World T20 in 2009. Back in 2017, Younis becomes first cricketer to score a century in all 11 countries that have hosted Test matches. He also holds the record for the most centuries and the most runs by a Pakistan player in Test cricket. He has a remarkable conversion rate in Test cricket and has scored 34 tons during his career.

He is the one of the five Pakistani players to score 300 Test runs in an innings. Younis is third highest run-scorer in Test innings for Pakistan after Hanif Mohammad and Inzamam-Ul-Haq.

In 2017, he became the first Pakistani batsman to score 10,000 ODI runs. He was also the oldest batsmen in international cricket to achieve that milestone. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should really cater to the needs of such a living legend of the game.
