Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the bowlers in the set-up today, who only plays limited-overs cricket. With the 13th edition of IPL in the UAE around the corner, Chahal has opened up on Test cricket ambitions amongst all other things.

Yuzvendra Chahal burst into the international scene in June 2016; however, cemented his spot after the 2017 Champions Trophy in England. Chahal became a part of India’s set-up as they veered away from finger spinners and actively promoted the inclusion of leg-spinners. He forged a successful partnership with Kuldeep Yadav, especially in ODIs, a format in which they have found success in regularly picking wickets in the middle overs.

While Kuldeep has played a handful of Tests so far, Chahal has not got his Test cap. When speaking of his first-class career, the 30-year old has 84 wickets from 31 fixtures at 33.21, which signals that he could become an asset for the Indian team. Currently, Chahal is in the UAE for the 2020 IPL edition in which he plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
