Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar gallop upwards in the latest T20I rankings

The Indian spin twin in the recently concluded Nidahas Trophy made significant progress in the latest T20I ranking for the bowlers.
While Yuzvendra Chahal skipped twelve places to acquire the number two spot in the rankings, rookie Washington Sundar leapt 151 places to acquire the 31st position in the rankings.
The two spinners picked up eight wickets in the Nidahas Trophy to create havoc in the dressing rooms of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Sundar went for an economy of only 5.7 in the tournament.

Whereas, Chahal cost only 6.45 in the series for his captain Rohit Sharma. The two featured in all the matches of the series. The other players from the Indian camp who made progress after the end of the tournament were Jaydev Unadkat and Shardul Thakur.
The multi-million dollar man post IPL auction, Unadkat, is currently placed at the 52nd place while his partner Shardul Thakur is now 76th position. The left arm seamer climbed 26 places while Thakur moved a whopping 85 places upwards.

From the Sri Lankan camp, it was Akila Dananajaya, and from Bangladesh, it was Rubel Hossain, who all ended the tournament on a career high in terms of ICC T20I rankings for the bowlers. Kusal Perera moved up 20 spots to 20th place while Kusal Mendis went 27 spots up to the 48th place.
Kusal Perera amassed the most number of runs in the tournament with as many as 204 runs to his name. The flamboyant southpaw three half-centuries in the tournament. He was ably supported by Kusal Mendis who scored 134 runs with a couple of quickfire half centuries.
Man of the match in the finals, Dinesh Karthik, who snatched victory from Bangladesh with his miraculous innings, moved to the 95th place in the rankings. He remained unbeaten throughout the tournament with valuable knocks.
