5. MS Dhoni – 6858 runs
MS Dhoni has been India’s talisman for the last decade or so and it very surprising that he features in the list of batsmen with most T20 runs without a century. Dhoni has scored 6858 runs in 338 T20 games at an average of 38.8 and a healthy strike rate of 135. At 39 years, he has retired from international cricket, but he is still captaining the Chennai Super Kings in IPL.
Dhoni is popularly called the captain cool for his ability to handle pressure in nervous situations and he always likes to be the man when the team needs him. He has scored 27 half-centuries in the format and his highest score has been 84 not out in T20s. Given that he bats in the middle order, it is tough for him to face enough balls to score a century and he stands fifth in the list.
4. Robin Uthappa – 6861 runs
Uthappa bats in the top order mostly and he was traded from the Rajasthan Royals to the Chennai Super Kings squad for this edition. He has scored 38 half-centuries in the format and his highest score of 92. He is approaching the later stages of his career and he will be itching to score a century in the T20 format as soon as possible.
3. Kumar Sangakkara – 6937 runs
Sangakkara played in the top order mostly and he is currently serving as the Director of Cricket for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021 post-retirement. He had managed to score 43 half-centuries in the T20 format and his highest score has been 78. The legendary batsman stands third in the list of most runs without a century in the T20 format.

The 34-year-old has played 319 T20 games and has scored 7004 runs at an average of 27.1 and a strike rate of 132.5. He has scored 37 half-centuries in the format and his highest score is 91 so far. Morgan still has some more years of cricket left in him and he should be looking to attain the three-figure mark in the T20 format as soon as possible.

The 39-year-old had played 169 T20 games and has scored 10488 runs at an average of 31.2 and a strike rate of 123.7. He has scored a stunning 64 half-centuries in the format and he is mostly used as a floater in the batting order. However, he doesn’t fail most of the time and does have a variety of shots.
