Kepler Wessels was one of those strange players who played 24 tests for Australia and then changed his career to South Africa. Wessels was a relatively slow batsman who had a good test record under his belt and he finished with a decent career in ODIs as well.

Wessels played 109 ODIs scoring 3367 runs overall but in his South African batting career, he never hit a six despite playing 55 matches and scored 1627 runs at an average of 32.57. He hit 124 fours but his strike rate was just 51.76 which wasn’t ideal for ODI cricket.

Callum Ferguson:

The Australian middle-order batsman Callum Ferguson is one of the most elegant batsmen from his nation who had an extremely good technique. Ferguson was always on the radar of the Australian selectors, but couldn’t keep his place in the side for a long time.

Ferguson scored 663 runs in 30 matches at an average of 41.4 in his ODI career and he hit five half-centuries in the process. He scored at a brisk rate of 85.3 and was able to hit 64 boundaries in those matches, but did not hit a single six in his ODI career which was very strange.

Thilan Samaraweera had an excellent test career for Sri Lanka and was tipped to have one of the best techniques from the Sri Lankan batsman. He was in and out of the ODI side but he made it to the important 2011 Worldcup in the middle order for his nation.

Samaraweera scored 862 runs in the 53 matches at an average of 27.8 in his ODI career and he managed to hit two centuries without any half-century. He hit 76 fours in his ODI career and his strike rate was 69.3, but he never managed to hit a six in his ODI career.

Geoffrey Boycott is one of the famous England batsmen in the 1970s and he had an excellent test career with some staggering numbers. He was expected to a big player in ODIs as well but he managed to satisfy the expectation to some extent with some decent numbers.

Boycott hit 1082 runs in his 36 match ODI career at an average of 36.1 and he hit one century and one half-century in the process. Boycott also managed to hit 84 fours and he had a strike rate of 53.6. But he never hit a six in his ODI career until his retirement.

Manoj Prabhakar is one of the popular all-rounders for India and he amassed with the bat and ball for the nation in both the Test and ODI formats. He had a big role to play in the Indian team with his handy runs at the back end and also being a medium pacer.

Manoj Prabhakar hit 1858 runs in 130 ODI matches at an average of 24.1 and he managed to hit two centuries and 11 half-centuries in the process. He hit 157 fours in the 50 over format and had a strike rate of 60.3, but he never hit a six in his ODI career.
