ICC T20 World Cup 2021: 5 Players Who Can End Up As The Highest Run Scorer.

The ICC T20 world cup 2021 is scheduled to take place this year in the month of October and the countries have started playing a lot more T20s to pick the right squad for the big tournament. There have been doubts over the tournament taking place in India as the IPL 2021 was suspended recently due to the rise in the number of Covid cases in India.

However, there is still three more months time, and the situation could get better before the T20 Worldcup starts taking place. It is five years since the T20 Worldcup took place in 2016, and the West Indies side will start as the defending champions of the tournament. Here are 5 players who can end up as the highest run-scorer in the ICC T20 world cup 2021.

5 Players Who Can End Up As The Highest Run Scorer In ICC T20 World Cup 2021:

Babar has become one of the top batsmen in the world and his numbers do suggest. He was appointed the captain of the side in all the formats for Pakistan recently and he deserves it too. He will be a key player for Pakistan in the T20 Worldcup and the number two batsman in ICC T20 rankings has a high probability of ending up as the highest run-scorer in the ICC T20 Worldcup 2021.

The 34-year-old has immense experience in T20s for India and has played 111 games scoring 2864 runs at an average of 32.5 and a strike rate of 139. Conway has a strike rate of nearly 159.1 and he still hasn’t been tested in the big games yet. But he has shown a lot of maturities so far and recently achieved a massive feat on test debut by scoring a brilliant double century. Dawid Malan has been very successful at the number three position for England and he has been playing a lot of risk-free shots which has earned him a lot of runs too. He can play the anchor role for the side and he has the attacking game too in his armory. He has also been in excellent form in recent times and could become the highest-run scorer in the ICC T20 world cup 2021.
