Rohit Sharma

The Mumbai Indians skipper scored 250 runs in the first seven games in IPL 2021. He would like to improve on that in the remaining phase of the season. He scored over 300 runs last season before missing a few games due to injury which became a big fiasco just before the Australia series.

Ishan Kishan

Kishan too has had two good seasons with Mumbai Indians. The southpaw has been a floater in the batting line-up batting at numbers three to five as required. He is one of the two left-handed batsmen to bat in the top 6. He did not have the best of starts this season scoring 73 in five games so far.
Hardik Pandya

The nard-hitting Hardik Pandya slots in at number five for Mumbai Indians. He is playing these days as a specialist batsman. He has not yet fully recovered from his back injury which is preventing him from bowling. It will be interesting to see if he resumes bowling when the IPL 2021 resumes in the UAE.

Kieron Pollard

Pollard follows Pandya to continue the hard-hitting momentum that Mumbai Indians bank so heavily on. The triplet of Hardik, Pollard, and Krunal have scored crucial runs for the sid in the past and the role remains similar in every season that they play. Pollard played one of the best IPL knocks against CSK scoring 87* to help Mumbai Indians win the game chasing 219 for victory.
Krunal Pandya

Krunal completes the triple threat in the middle-order that has had huge success in the past. In this season, the senior Pandya scored 100 runs in seven games and picked up three wickets. He is one of the spinning options in the side along with Rahul Chahar.
Trent Boult

The Kiwi pacer will pair up with Jasprit Bumrah when the season resumes. He spoke earlier of having another good season in the IPL. He took eight wickets in the first half of the season to back up the 25 that he took last year.
Jasprit Bumrah

Bumrah took six wickets in the first seven games that he played before the suspension. Over the years, Bumrah has been a matchwinner and has developed a tremendous partnership with Boult after learning the traits from Lasith Malinga. Before the IPL resumes in the UAE, Bumrah needs to help India win the World Test Championship final followed by the England series.
Rahul Chahar

Chahar was the surprise package for Mumbai Indians this year. He bamboozled the best of batsmen and mesmerized oppositions with his guile and deception. He took 11 wickets from seven games and was an out-and-out matchwinner for his side.

The experienced Chawla should be a part of the playing XI for Mumbai Indians in the UAE leg of IPL 2021. He can take advantage of the bigger boundaries and take wickets for his side. This might be the strongest playing XI the side might field in the UAE.
