Royal Challengers Bangalore finally found a much more competitive squad this year and it was evident in their campaign this year which went way better than the previous years. However, the suspension of IPL might have just broken their momentum and they will also miss out on some key players when the IPL resumes.
Royal Challengers finished third at the halfway mark of the tournament with 5 wins in 7 games, but their last three games have been relatively poor. A lot of loopholes were exposed and they will have to reassess the situation before the IPL 2021 resumes in September. Here are 3 players from Royal Challengers Bangalore who might miss the 2nd leg.
IPL 2021: 3 Players From Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Who Might Miss The 2nd Leg:
Kyle Jamieson:
Kyle Jamieson was picked up for big bucks in the auction this year and he did impress in his first IPL season. The New Zealand all-rounder was magnificent with the ball and picked up 9 wickets in the 7 games he played at a decent economy rate. He used his height factor to his advantage and hit the good lengths consistently.
He made a big difference to the side and took the responsibility of bowling the death overs. He is a handy batsman down the order and did show off his batting skills too. He proved to be a game-changer this season and Royal Challengers Bangalore will definitely miss his services when the IPL resumes.
Finn Allen:
However, he did shine in the international T20s for New Zealand and is expected to create havoc in the IPL at some time. Finn Allen is expected to be with the New International side when the IPL resumes and he is expected to miss out from the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad.
Scott Kuggeleign:
The New Zealand fast bowler Scott Kuggeleign does generate a lot of pace and he was already been with the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. He has played two IPL games in 2019 but was released after the season and hasn’t been picked up after that. He was with the Mumbai Indians as a net bowler when he was called up by the Royal Challengers Bangalore as a replacement for Kane Richardson and Adam Zampa pulled up in the midway.
Royal Challengers Bangalore do not have many overseas fast bowlers and Scott Kuggeleign was expected to make a difference to their squad. Kuggeleign is a wicket-taker and can be very lethal in the death overs with his yorkers too. However, Royal Challengers Bangalore might be missing out on him as he will be on the New Zealand international side.
