Bangladesh have become the latest team to unveil their jersey for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023. They launched the jersey on Tuesday (September 26) soon after Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the 15-member squad for the marquee event, scheduled to be played in India from October 5 to November 19.
Bangladesh unveiled its World Cup jersey in a special manner. While usually the jersey is unveiled by two or three players of the team during a ceremony, BCB decided otherwise. All the Bangladesh players received a box containing the jersey in their hotel rooms and unveiled their respective jerseys.
The jersey features traditional red and green colors. While it features green in prominence, there are shades of red on the front.

Bangladesh look to bounce back:
Bangladesh will be looking to turn things around in the upcoming ODI World Cup after some disappointing results in recent times. They crashed out of the Asia Cup 2023 at the Super 4 stage after suffering defeats against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The Bangla Tigers, however, will be taking confidence from their morale-boosting win over eventual winners India.
After the Asia Cup, they suffered a 2-0 series defeat against New Zealand at home. The Shakib Al Hasan-led side needs to be at its best to do well in the World Cup. Bangladesh’s preparations have also been hit by a huge controversy about their star opener Tamim Iqbal.
Tamim Iqbal has failed to make the cut for the World Cup. And before the squad was announced, reports stated that the veteran opener had told BCB that he would play only 5 games in the World Cup due to injury issues. Captain Shakib, however, had threatened to pull out of the World Cup if BCB accepted Tamim’s proposal.
Bangladesh’s ODI World Cup Squad:
Shakib Al Hasan (C), Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Das (vice-capt), Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Shoriful Islam, Nasum Ahmed, Mahedi Hasan, Tanzid Hasan, Tanzim Hasan, Mahmudullah.
