David Warner has been in great form in the past few months and it is in his cricketing nature to present himself at his best during the major ICC events. He was the Player of The Tournament and the second-highest run-getter in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

He scored 345 runs in eight matches with an average close to 50 when Michael Clarke led the Australian side to victory in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

David Warner was also the second-highest run-getter in the 2019 edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup scoring 647 runs in 10 innings. As David Warner prepares to play in what could be his last ODI World Cup given that he is 36 years old, he still looks like he is in his destructive best form and can take on any bowling attack on his day.

The Left-handed veteran topped the batting charts for Australia in the recently concluded IND Vs AUS ODI Series scoring three consecutive fifties.

Mitchell Marsh called David Warner one of the Greatest Of All Time in one-day cricket. Recently, former Australia Captain and Chief Selector George Bailey talked about Warner’s form and said that he is one of the players who not only prove themselves individually but also contribute to the team’s success in major tournaments.

David Warner’s Record In India Is Formidable

“Not just in the Australian team, but around the world, these are the tournaments that the best players build themselves up for and get excited about. That’s the ultimate challenge for them to not only prove how good they are individually but also to help their team get some really exciting success. So I’m not surprised that he’s (Warner) hit the ground running over here with the enthusiasm that you’d expect from Davey and playing really well,” said George Bailey about David Warner.

David Warner is one of the most loved foreign cricketers in India and he has a terrific record in India too. In ODIs Warner has scored 575 runs in 12 innings that he played in India with an average of 52.27. He has scored two centuries and four half-centuries in India in ODI cricket. David Warner will hopefully bring out his best in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and the other teams must be prepared for this time-bomb named ‘David Warner’.
