Intikhab Alam Calls Kuldeep Yadav A Match Winner; Says The Leg-Spinner Will Play A Major Role In ICC World Cup 2023

Former Pakistan cricketer Intikhab Alam heaped rich praise on Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav. He believes that the chinaman spinner will test batters of all the teams and will play a major role in the ICC World Cup 2023.
Kuldeep Yadav has been a revelation ever since he made a comeback into the Indian team. He has been a mainstay of the team’s bowling lineup in the middle overs and has picked wickets in clusters. He is one of the main reasons behind the team’s success of late.
Kuldeep Yadav set the stage on fire in the Asia Cup 2023, where he won the Player of the Tournament award. The leg-spinner picked five wickets against Pakistan in the Super Four stage and then followed it up with a four-wicket haul in the next match against Sri Lanka. He made batters look clueless and it seemed that they weren’t able to read him.
Going Into the ICC World Cup 2023, Kuldeep Yadav no doubt will be one of the crucial players for his team. On turning Indian pitches, he will be lethal and if he finds the right areas and lengths, it’s fair to say that he can rattle any opposition.
Intikhab Alam said that India will be the team to beat in the ICC World Cup 2023, especially after what they did in the Asia Cup. He said that Kuldeep Yadav will be the best spinner going into the event and he along with Ravindra Jadeja will make a lethal player. Speaking to PTI, he explained:
“The way India played in Asia Cup and played the final (decimating Sri Lanka). They look like the team to beat. Their spin attack stands out. Kuldeep is going to play a major role in the tournament. He will test the batters of all teams.
“Jadeja and Kuldeep make a lethal combination. Kuldeep is a match-winner. He is the best spinner in this World Cup in my opinion. Now you also have (Ravichandran) Ashwin back.”

Pakistan Team has arrived in India for the ICC World Cup 2023. This is the first time in the last seven years that they stepped on the Indian spoil. The Babar Azam-led side received a grand welcome from the people of India after they landed in Hyderabad.
Intikhab Alam believes that talked about Pakistan’s welcome in India. He said that the team needs to do something special so people will remember them for a long time. He added:
“Whenever we go to India we get a memorable welcome. I have spent two years therea as Punjab coach). People to people contact should be encouraged in tense times like these. There will be pressure, for sure.
“It depends on how team management treat the players to ensure they focus only on cricket. You get four years to prepare for an event like this. You have to do something special so people remember for you a long time. It is a great opportunity for Babar and Co.”
Pakistan will open their campaign against Netherlands on 6th October in Hyderabad.
