Mark Wood And Ben Stokes Hail Captain Jos Buttler Ahead Of ICC World Cup 2023; Pacer Says People Follow His Example

England pacer Mark Wood heaped rich praise on skipper Jos Buttler. He said that the keeper-batter creates his own philosophy within the group and leads by example.
Mark Wood called Jos Buttler a great man and said that people try to follow his game. He remarked that the England team is trying to find a ceiling under Jos Buttler as he has no limits. Speaking in a video posted on ECB’s Twitter account, he explained:
“Jos is his own man and what I would say is, I think he’s a great captain. He’s creates a philosophy within the group. You just watch the way he bats, you watch the way he plays the game. People follow his example.
“I think this team, under Jos, is trying to find that ceiling because he never put a limit because he never put a limit on himself as a player. And by leading by example, he does the same for the team.”
Jos Buttler is one of the greatest cricketers to have represented England in cricket and has many records to his name as well. His ability to hit the ball cleanly and play aggressively right from the ball 1 sets him apart from other batters.
Not only as a keeper-batter but Jos Buttler is doing a great job as a captain as well. He recently led England to the T20 World Cup 2022 win in Australia and would be hoping to win the ICC World Cup 2023 as well. England are currently the title holders and they will be under pressure to defend the title in India.

England all-rounder Ben Stokes also heaped rich praise on Jos Buttler. He highlighted his ability to stay calm under pressure. He explained:
“His ability to read a situation in any given moment, the way in which he just stays calm and composed under pressure, where I think a lot of other people would overwhelm them. But he’s able to deal it with it really really well.”
Jos Buttler will have to play a huge role in ICC World Cup 2023. He will have the added responsibility of leading the team this time around.
