Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh heaped praise on ace Indian batter Virat Kohli ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023, which is set to commence on October 5. Mitchell Marsh emphasized that Virat Kohli is arguably the greatest ODI player in the history of the game.

Virat Kohli has been in brilliant batting form as the team prepares for the upcoming marquee tournament on home turf. The right-handed batter smashed a century against Pakistan in the 2023 Asia Cup. He scored a half-century in the third match against Australia.

Virat Kohli Is Bigger Than The Game – Ashton Agar

In a video posted by For Cricket, Mitchell Marsh labeled Virat Kohli as ‘probably the greatest ODI player’ to have ever played in the history of the game.

“Virat Kohli is probably the best ODI player ever to play the game,” Mitchell Marsh told Fox cricket.

Australian left-arm spinner Ashton Agar remarked on Virat Kohli’s stature in cricket, saying that he is bigger than the game.

“It feels like Virat Kohli is bigger than the game and in India he is,” Ashton Agar said.

Virat Kohli Aims To Win ICC World Cup 2023

Virat Kohli made his ODI debut in 2008 and displayed potential from a young age. The right-handed batter has become an integral part of the Indian setup over the past 15 years. Kohli has achieved many milestones in his illustrious 15-year international career.

The 34-year-old was a part of India’s victorious campaign on home soil in 2011. He is now hoping to add one more ODI World Cup title. Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin have the opportunity to become the only two Indian cricketers to win the World Cup twice.

The Delhi-born cricketer will be seen in action during the Rohit Sharma-led team’s first warmup match at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday, September 30. The team will then play against the Netherlands in Thiruvananthapuram on October 3.
