Rohit Sharma

Counted as one the finest batsmen in the T20 Cricket, Rohit Sharma will have a lot of responsibility on his shoulders in the upcoming tournament. He was sensational in the ICC 2019 World Cup, scoring close to 700 runs, including 5 centuries. Rohit Sharma just loves performing at the biggest stage. He is in outstanding form, of late.

Rohit Sharma hasn’t scored a lot of runs for Mumbai Indians in the ongoing IPL but he has been a consistent performer for India Team across formats. He has, in fact, the second most number of runs for India in T20 internationals. In 111 matches, he has managed to score 2864 runs at an average of 32.54.

Rohit open the batting for India in the T20 World Cup 2021 and the team would expect him to give solid starts and convert them into big scores.

Suryakumar Yadav

The addition of Suryakumar Yadav adds strength to India’s batting unit. He is likely to play at number three or four in India’s playing XI. Perhaps, no Indian batsman has impressed more than Suryakumar Yadav in the last couple of years, as far as T20 cricket is concerned.

He has been a consistent performer for MI for the last few years and has also made runs for India in whatever opportunities he has been given so far.  Someone who can fetch boundaries right from the onset of his innings, Surykumar Yadav would be responsible for upping the ante in the middle overs. He has been in good touch and could prove to be a standout performer for India in the T20 World Cup 2021.

Jasprit Bumrah

India’s best bet in the fast bowling department, Jasprit Bumrah holds key to India’s fortune in the T20 World Cup. Bumrah’s stock in recent years has only seen an upward rise. He has improved by leaps and bounds and has become India’s lead fast bowler across formats.

His ability to deliver at any stage of the game makes him a valuable asset for any team. It won’t be wrong to say that Jasprit Bumrah is no less than a blessing for the Men in Blue. He is currently regarded as one of the best fast bowlers across the globe and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the tournament.

KL Rahul

Given the kind of form he is right now, KL Rahul will be the man to watch out for in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He has been scoring runs for fun in the ongoing IPL 2021 in UAE.

The T20 World Cup 2021 is going to be held on the same pitches and KL Rahul is expected to produce impactful performances. He is currently leading the run-charts in IPL 2021 with 626 runs to his name in 13 matches at an average of 62.60.

Varun Chakravarthy

Varun Chakravarthy is likely to play as the first choice spinner alongside all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in India’s playing XI for the T20 World Cup 2021. The mystery spinner is an X-factor for India, keeping in mind the array of variations under his armoury.

Varun Chakravarthy has managed to keep the batsmen guessing with his turn and guile in the ongoing IPL 2021. In 14 matches, he has picked 16 wickets at a stellar economy of 6.5. Given the fact that not a lot of batsmen have faced him in international cricket, Varun Chakravarthy could become the hero for the Men in Blue in the upcoming tournament.
